I'm so glad you stopped by!
I'm Heidi; Wife of 11 years to a {Philosophy} Professor and Mommy of 2 of the sweetest and spunky boys I know.
While I was (and still am) forever grateful to be spending the majority of my time at home with my youngin's it became clear that I needed to have an outlet/hobby/focus just for me.
I initially started writing here to have a virtual space to file away my some of my favorite ideas, inspirations, revelations and aspirations that spur me on to embrace the individual woman, wife, mother and friend that God gifted and intended me to be.
Because I have such a broad variety of interests and I love to constantly learn new things, it seemed to me that a blog would be a helpful tool in which to both organize and save what I learned/observed as well as have a central place in which to share with others who shared my interests.
I thought this was an original idea.
(I literally had NO idea there was actually a HUGE community of women already doing that very same thing!)
As I began sharing my new blogging venture with some friends, I was slowly introduced to other types of blogs written by women who also needed an outlet to share and connect with others about their individual interests/passions. Those blogs often had links to even MORE blogs.
It felt as though I had stumbled into some underground society! I was THRILLED to be a part of it!
I landed on the 'Wonder Woman Wannabe' title because I'd often mused that the Proverbs 31 woman surely must have had some sort of super powers similar to the likes of Wonder Woman in order to achieve all that the scriptures describe of her.
As a Christian woman I do WANT to be like her, even though I know that I'll never live up to that standard with perfection.
I'm a 'Wannabe'.
But, that's alright because as long as I'm truck'n along on this journey with Jesus, it's okay if I've got a few 'dents in my fender'.
So, this has become a place to chronicle my journey, share it with fellow 'wannabes' that may find themselves in a similar season of life.
I certainly don't have it figured out, but I know I'm not who I was when I took my first step, and I'm clinging to the promise HE's not through with me yet.
Also around the time I began this blog, I slowly began setting the groundwork to begin my own business as a Professional Organizer.
Eventually, our wanderings brought us to Minneapolis, MN. In hopes that this may be a city where we could finally put down some roots, my husband and I decided it was a great time for me to officially become a small business owner of Operation Organization!
Your comments and kind words are pure sunshine to my day. I am so encouraged and spurred on by words of affirmation and it fuels me to continue sharing here.
Though I would sincerely LOVE to reply to and connect with each and every person who visits and leaves a kind word, I'm earnestly seeking to be a good steward of my limited time and find a healthy balance based on the priorities in my current season of life.
