It can be quite difficult to maintain balance as a Home Manager if it seems as if every time we turn around we're dealing with friction and conflict with our loved ones.
While we can't change our loved ones, we can change how we respond to them...
Yesterday I suggested to understand and identify your own temperament.
I would venture to say that it is almost equally as important to understand the temperaments of your immediate family as well. Understanding them more will allow you to build a more effective relationship and better respect each others needs.
Taking the time to learn about the similarities or differences in your temperaments will could also help you see possible connections to the everyday hassles you encounter. Then you can seek solutions to work together in order to lessen these occurrences without draining each other in the process.
How are you similar or different to your children and/or spouse in regards to temperament?
Do you see a connection to everyday hassles you encounter?
I have to feel just a little bit sorry for my introverted husband who is completely surrounded by one extroverted wife and two active extroverted sons. The younger of the two is the true definition of 'spirited' as well! :)
